Welcome to all staff members to the new MGInteractive blog. As MGInteractive is a creative and interactive company, the aim is to make the blog as creative and interactive as possible. It is intended as an open forum for any ideas, concepts, comments and feedback from all staff. As the site expands individual staff pages or sites will be added, plus any projects that are undertaken. The blog will be used to:
Give insight into the Workplace
Facilitate Team/Staff Communication
Aide in Recruiting Efforts
Assist Marketing Efforts
However there are a few administration points to go over. Due to the nature of a blog being an open forum it is essential that everyone adopts a professional attitude to posts and responses, therefore the following policy is to be adopted by all staff who contribute to this blog. Any post or response will signify agreement to the company policy. This includes, but not limited to:
1) Any views expressed are yours alone and not necessarily those of the company;
2) Refrain from revealing any confidential information (see the employee confidentiality agreement for definitions);
3) Uphold the company’s values and avoid making defamatory statements about the company, its employees, clients, partners, affiliates and others, including competitors;
4) Be careful not to let blogging on this site or any other interfere with your job or client commitments.
If blogging activity is seen as compromising the company, then the company will request a cessation of such commentary, and the employee may be subject to counseling and disciplinary action. Additionally, I should like to remind employees that revealing confidential information over the Internet (including addresses, phone numbers, banking information, and health information) is a policy violation and can lead to identity theft and other serious harms.
The above is not intended to alarm anyone, but just to set the rules. I hope this blog will be fruitful, informative and constructive. And just to kick the forum off I have posted a cartoon that was developed as a ‘Tip For Improving Workplace Relationships’.

Please feel free to comment on the above cartoons and hopefully spark something a bit more dynamic.
